Christopher Franciosa is a theater actor who has appeared in over 50 Actor’s Equity productions and is an award-winning playwright. He has written plays which have been performed on stages throughout the country but mostly in New York City and Los Angeles. His short play “J Date” was recently performed by the Lama Theatre Co. simultaneously in New York and Tel Aviv and his “A Blessing: The Miracle of Edith Stein” was recently produced as a staged reading by the Blank Theatre Co. in Hollywood, CA. He has been a winner and finalist in many playwriting awards such as the Heideman Award at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville. Christopher was also a member of the prestigious Warner Bros. Writing Workshop for Television and been a finalist in ABC/Disney Fellowship Program, the Sussex (UK) TV Competition, and The Writersarc Screenplay Competition. His new screenplay “Surfmen” has recently placed in the top 10% of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, was in competition at the Grace International Film Festival (Berlin), was a finalist in the Independent Talents International Film Festival, and become a semi-finalist in the Cordillera International Film Festival and the Birmingham (England) International Film Festival. He is a Graduate of UCLA.
Christopher trained as an actor at UCLA, London's Central School of Speech and Drama, master classes with Stella Adler, and as an apprentice at Actor's Theatre of Louisville.
